Using Hyper-CEST, xenon MRI could become an important technique for molecular imaging (MI) and overcome the sensitivity problems of NMR that usually makes other techniques like positron emission tomography (PET) or single pheoton emission tomography (SPECT) the favourite detection methods in MI.

This part of the project focuses on pairing various MRI encoding schemes with the Hyper-CEST sensitivity enhancement. It also includes approaches to encode multiple sensor signals like in the example below where the CEST responses from the two constructs are seperated by 130 Hz only.
