Methods
Our research includes various methods of NMR spectroscopy and imaging. We combine conventional proton MRI with xenon imaging and spectroscopy to develop novel NMR contrast agents. The production of hyperpolarized xenon is based on spin exchange optical pumping, a method that we are optimizing for continuous flow experiments. The chemistry lab includes equipment for design of novel biosensors by microwave-assisted peptide synthesis and the production of liposomal model membrane.
