The European Research Council (ERC) selected a proposal on xenon biosensor research for a five-year funding through a Starting Grant with the overall amount of 1,851,000 Eur.

The decision of the selection committee was released after a two-stage evaluation process on September 8, 2010. More than 2500 proposals had been submitted in the sections of Physical Sciences/Enegineering (PE), Life Sciences (LS) and Social Sciences/Humanities (SH). With a selection of some 240 projects, the overall success rate was ca. 10% in this call.
