The German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) awarded the Dr. Emil Salzer Prize for Cancer Research in 2008 for the development of new molecular magnetic resonance imaging technologies based on the xenon biosensor approach. The award ceremony on December 17, 2008, was opened by Prof. Otmar Wiestler (left), Chairman of the Management Board and Scientific Director of DKFZ, and Prof. Gerhard van Kaick (right), Chairman of the Salzer Prize Committee.
