In April 2009, the International Union for Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP) announced to honor the Hyper-CEST method with the Young Scientist Award in Medical Physics, awarded by the International Organization for Medical Physics (IOMP). The ceremony took place at the World Congress of Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering in Munich in September 2009.
